‘Dragged kicking and screaming’: Albanese slammed as antisemitism inquiry ends

News24 host Chris Kenny attacks the Albanese Government over its handling of antisemitism, arguing the Royal Commission failed to properly examine the government’s response to repeated warnings about rising hatred and extremism.

“The royal commission into antisemitism and social cohesion wrapped up today. This is the inquiry that Anthony Albanese was dragged kicking and screaming into calling in the weeks after the Bondi terror attack,” Mr Kenny said.

“Yet this royal commission didn't even hear from the Prime Minister about why he did so little despite early, repeated, and powerful warnings and pleas for the government to lead the fight against rising levels of antisemitism.

“Antisemitism, anti-Zionism and Islamist extremism have run unchecked for too long; too many people are either hateful or irresponsibly ignorant.”
