On his very first day on set filming the opening boat scene, Judge delivered his first line, "Stay away from the water, boy," in a full British accent. Game director Cory Barlog immediately yelled cut and demanded to know what he was doing. When Judge explained that Sony had just spent months paying for his dialect coaching, Barlog shut it down instantly and told him to use the voice from his audition instead.
