📖 Synopsis：
With a total population of 2.3 million, the huge city occupies most of the western part of Tokyo. About 80% of its population are students, so the city is known as the 'Academy City', where the development of supernatural powers takes place.
Students who have undergone special classes (curriculum) and gained abilities are evaluated in six levels from 'no ability (level 0)' to 'super ability (level 5)' through periodic physical examinations (system scan). Standing at the top of the list, and being described as the strongest, are the seven 'Level 5 psychics'.
One of them is Mikoto Misaka. She is a 14-year-old middle school student at the prestigious Tokiwadai Middle School for young ladies. She lives an everyday academy-city life with her juniors, Kuroko Shirai, a member of the 'Judgment', and others.
This story depicts the daily life of peaceful, ordinary and slightly unusual girls with abilities.
