Trump says US to build a 'large Military presence' in Greenland | DW News

The leaders of Greenland and Denmark have welcomed a deal announced by US President Donald Trump on Friday. According to the White House, the agreement will strengthen the US military presence in Greenland and give Washington permanent responsibility for the island's security. Trump had repeatedly threatened to annex the Arctic territory, at times even suggesting he was prepared to use force.
