ACLU Demands Sanctions for Trump DOJ Alaska Stunt...

The American Civil Liberties Union asked a federal judge to issue sanctions against Trump Justice Department attorneys for filing a "bizarre, eleventh hour stunt suit" seeking to block the certification of Alaska's Senate election if the Republican candidate loses. "The Department of Justice’s desire for a political confrontation is no substitute for a legitimate legal theory, and it cannot justify holding Alaskans’ votes hostage," the ACLU wrote, seeking sanctions against the DOJ attorneys on the filing. One of those attorneys is Stanley Woodward, a top Trump ally and the third most powerful official in the Department. Adam Klasfeld of All Rise News interviews the ACLU's executive director Yasmin Cader about the motion.
