Ah, the humble 7. The most infamous of all IGN scores. 7s are often overlooked and rarely end up on game of the year lists and best of lists and top 10s, etc. But not in this video! This one’s for the 7s. Let’s take a look at the very best games that were almost great -- the 7 Best 7s, if you will.

I’m going to break these lists down by era or genre or console. For this inaugural edition of the 7 best 7s I’m looking at the 2000s. 2000-2009, PlayStation 2 and 3, the Xbox and Xbox 360, Gamecube and the Nintendo Wii.
