Texas Hid The Records

James Talarico just accused Ken Paxton of protecting a research lab that allegedly tortured and k*lled hundreds of puppies. In 2015, animal welfare groups sought records showing how dogs and cats were being treated inside a Texas university’s research labs. Paxton’s office sided with the university, issuing a legal opinion that allowed it to withhold the animals’ care and health records, effectively shielding them from public scrutiny.
