This footage is from the "National Police Motorcycle Safe Driving Competition."
Elite motor officers from across the country gather to put their regional pride on the line in a pure test of skill.

It might be hard for some to grasp, but simply qualifying for this event is an unbelievable feat.
It is undoubtedly the highest honor for any motorcycle cop.

And the reward for winning?
Just a certificate and being on the cover of next year’s pamphlet.
They hone these skills purely to protect the public and their own lives on duty.

Don't let the name "Safe Driving" fool you—the reality of this course is brutal.

It’s a time trial, but with an unforgiving twist:
If any part of the bike (including the bank sensors) touches the ground even once, or if they graze a rubber marker or pylon, it's an instant penalty.

Riders must execute a completely flawless "zero-touch" run while posting the fastest possible time.
This is what fundamentally separates this from standard gymkhana.

Furthermore, before the two narrow turns, they must come to a dead stop and physically check their rear.
This must be a complete "dead stop."
If the front tire crosses the stop line by a single centimeter, that’s a penalty.

Look closely at the tip of the footpeg briefly shown in the footage.
You'll notice a black resin cap fitted over the bank sensor.
This is used for a final physical inspection.

The judges lining the course are absolute pros.
They never miss the faint "scrape" of a bank sensor touching the asphalt.
Yet, after the run, they still directly touch this cap by hand to confirm a perfect "zero-touch" run was executed.

Back to the machine.
The bike is a Honda CB1300P ("P" stands for Police).

For safety reasons during the event, the dashboard, measuring equipment, and mirrors are removed.
However, to simulate actual duty, it remains fully loaded with official police panniers and heavy crash bars.
This brings the total weight to a massive 300kg (660 lbs).

Understanding this deep background should make watching the videos I share infinitely more fascinating.
