Even though his entire script consisted of exactly three words, Diesel showed up to the recording studio wearing massive jumping stilts. Because Groot is a towering 7.5-foot-tall tree monster, Diesel insisted on physically standing at that exact height while recording his voiceover so he could accurately "feel" the imposing scale of the character.
