All this in-fighting proves that they’re all lying about how valuable they are.
Every company out there has an AI agent. It can act on your behalf. It can do things for you like book tickets, buy stuff, make reservations. But there’s a massive problem that they’re all ignoring.
While Google wants their Gemini Agent to shop for you, companies like Amazon and other retailers are straight up blocking agents all over so they can’t do that.
Every company is racing the other and barricading access to their own stuff so that the other agents are kneecapped.
So the saviors that AI agents are supposed to be, and the massive financial valuation boon they are, just can’t do what they say because no one ACTUALLY wants an AI doing things on their site, forget about the customers who may want that.
