Sustainable post-crisis development: the need for a human rights approach | LSE Event

The dialogue will bring together researchers from LSE's Department of International Development and practitioners from Amnesty International, International Secretariat (IS) & UK Section (AIUK) to share knowledge on putting policy into practice while centring the human experience in development.

The event opens with a keynote address by Yasmine Ahmed, followed by a panel discussion on how robust evidence can inform the design, implementation and evaluation of policies that advance human rights and improve development outcomes under real-world constraints. Bringing together academic expertise and front-line experience, the event provides a platform for translating research into actionable policy and practice, with a strong focus on ethics, accountability, and the lived realities of affected communities.
