When things are thrown off a cliff, they're moving fast.
Too fast for a traditional (DJI Mavic, etc) drone to keep up. (we tried)

So our mate Seth is flying an FPV drone - it's quite different to what you've probably seen or used before.

In order to fly fast, and accurately, there are some trade-offs. One of these is to remove the "gimbal" which normally holds the camera. This means the camera angle is fixed relative to the motion of the aircraft, usually with a slight upwards tilt.

This angle means the shot looks great while everything's moving - but in order to slow down (without circling) the drone would need to tilt backwards (that's physics) so that the camera is pointed straight up into the sky. (much more nauseating than circles)

The way that Seth is piloting using circles around the target being tracked, is an elegant solution adapting to the constantly changing speed of the objects, while still keeping them in frame and keeping the motion smooth.
