Hegseth unveils religious affairs office as Pentagon overhaul continues

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth leaned into the Christian religious messaging that has characterized much of his Pentagon stint during a speech on Wednesday to troops at a military base in Quantico, Virginia. The secretary quoted Bible verses and detailed new reforms to the military chaplaincy intended to raise their profile within the Pentagon bureaucracy.

CNN's Erin Burnett speaks to US Marine Corps veteran Sen. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) about Hegseth's push to inject religion into Defense Department practices. Also, former US Army Major Harrison Mann and former Defense Secretary Leon Panetta weigh in on Hegseth's Pentagon makeover.
