Music has become this fundamental aspect of our lives. We as society cannot function without it. This talk will revolve around how the 1960s has transformed the way society uses and views music. How it has turned from this simple entertainment, into a global cultural phenomenon. How because of the 60s music has shaped identity, politics, and emotions. From artists like Jimi Hendrix, creating an entirely new genre of music, using distortion and feedback. To the Beatles making tours an experience shared by the whole world. My talk will argue how all aspects of modern music, streaming, festivals, tours, genres, can be traced back to the 60s. Gabriella Calice is a student in the Lower Sixth studying English literature, Economics, and German. I hope to study economics at IE university. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
