TAKE HAPPINESS – Part III

After years of singing about happiness, he finally learns the truth.

She didn’t come back because she missed him.
She wanted to prove that she had moved on.

For a moment, anger takes over.
Maybe he should sing about her unhappiness instead.
Maybe every bad day she has should become another song.

But hatred doesn’t fit the memories they once shared.

So he chooses something else.

Not her happiness.
Not his unhappiness.

His own happiness.

TAKE HAPPINESS – Part III is the final chapter of a story about love, pride, resentment, acceptance, and learning that happiness cannot be taken from someone else.

Sometimes you don’t have to be happy yet.

You just have to start looking for it.

Take happiness.
You take yours.
And I’ll take mine.
