Sky’s Ed Conway explains that inflation may well have been a key factor in the US midterm result, as Donald Trump’s approval on the issue has cratered after he pledged to keep prices down.

Prices rose after the Iran war and real wages fell. Voters also rejected all but one of about 40 local data centre plans, while diesel hit a record high of $6 a gallon.
