News24 host Chris Kenny blasts another budget tax problem after legislation was introduced to address claims that adding a newborn to a family trust could trigger a 47 per cent tax rate.
“Another tax stuff-up from this budget with this claim that the trust taxation issue is complex,” Mr Kenny said.
“Jim Chalmers denied there was a problem, then he’s put up legislation to fix it.
“Now, a suggestion to turn it into a newborn tax because if there’s someone else born into the Trust arrangements, it leads to higher tax.”
