If you let an AI delete your entire set of unreleased TV show episodes, maybe you shouldn’t be allowed to work on that show anymore.
The Swedish rendition of the show “The Challenge” got hit with the horror story of vibecoders everywhere. It deleted System32, so to speak.
Giving an AI Agent access to their production servers, it decided to catastrophically and irreparably delete all of their edited content just weeks before the new season was supposed to air.
The raw footage is untouched, so they can re-edit it, but the program director says this happened because of a failed backup.
They’re not releasing the full details on how all this occurred, but there’s so many lessons to learn from this.
