황토집, 늘 열려 있던 대문, 마당 한쪽의 가마솥과 아궁이, 소여물을 끓이던 연기, 멀리 떨어져 있던 화장실, 방 안의 화로, 벽에 기대어 있던 지게, 부뚜막 옆에서 몸을 동그랗게 말고 자던 고양이, 그리고 유난히 까맣던 소의 눈망울까지.

너무 어릴 때의 기억이라 모든 장면이 정확한 것은 아닙니다. 시간이 지나며 남은 몇 개의 잔상과 감각을 따라가며 가사를 썼습니다.

그때는 매캐한 연기와 벌레, 소똥 냄새 때문에 가기 싫었던 시골집이었지만, 이제는 다시 가고 싶어도 돌아갈 수 없는 곳이 되었습니다.

싫었던 기억마저 그리움으로 바뀌는 순간, 그리고 현실에서는 돌아갈 수 없는 장소를 꿈속에서 가끔 다시 만나는 마음을 담았습니다.

Because these memories come from such an early age, not every detail is exact. The lyrics were written from fragments that remained over time, including faint images, smells, sounds, and sensations.

Back then, the sharp smoke, insects, and smell of cow dung made the countryside house a place I did not want to visit. But now, it has become a place I can no longer return to, even if I want to.

This song is about the moment when even unpleasant memories turn into longing, and about returning, only sometimes, to a vanished place in my dreams.
