Did you know the AEC (architecture, engineering and construction) industry is responsible for an estimated 21 per cent of global greenhouse gas emissions? ๐Ÿ—๏ธ

Beyond EPiC, a #UniMelb spinout from the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning, is changing that. The platform turns complex environmental information into clear, consistent, and actionable intelligence, helping professionals choose materials, systems, and strategies that minimise impact, optimise performance, and align every decision with the planetโ€™s limits.

The EPiC Database, developed by Beyond EPiC, is now used in 170+ countries, helping the global industry to measure, optimise, and build within planetary boundaries, from single materials to entire cities.

Supported by UniMelb's innovation ecosystem, Proof-of-Concept funding has been key in turning this research into real-world industry impact.
