Despite losing her Senate bid, Florida democratic socialist Angie Nixon outperformed on election night, trailing incumbent Republican Ashley Moody by a mere three points.
“If the Democratic Party would have just gave her even a tiny little fraction of what they gave to a John Ossoff or to a Talarico in Texas, Angie Nixon right now would be the United States senator-elect of the state of Florida,” says Linda Sarsour of MPower Action Fund.
