When Jim Carrey Made Jennifer Aniston Break Character Twice 😂🎬

When Universal Pictures released Bruce Almighty in 2003, the production paired Jim Carrey, then the most kinetic comic performer in Hollywood, with Jennifer Aniston, who was still starring on the television juggernaut Friends. On set, Carrey's relentless improvisation and elastic physicality repeatedly broke the composure of his co-star, and Aniston reportedly struggled to keep a straight face through take after take as he spun fresh variations on scripted lines. Director Tom Shadyac, who had already collaborated with Carrey on Ace Ventura: Pet Detective and Liar Liar, understood that this spontaneity was the actor's greatest asset and gave him the latitude to chase comic discoveries in the moment. The result was a film that grossed more than 480 million dollars worldwide and stood among Carrey's biggest commercial successes, carried by a performance that seemed to spring from instinct rather than calculation. Beyond its box-office triumph, Bruce Almighty confirmed what audiences had long suspected: Carrey possessed a rare, almost innate gift for comedy, a talent so infectious that even seasoned professionals could not resist it, and one that helped define the high-concept comedy era of the early 2000s.
