Cyberattack hits supermarket fridges across Europe again

Refrigerator and freezer temperatures at some supermarkets across Europe were reportedly raised to as high as 50 degrees Celsius following suspected cyberattacks, forcing some retailers to discard spoiled food. This comes just weeks after a similar incident occurred in France, which affected hundreds of supermarkets across the country.

Disruptions have been reported in several European countries, including Belgium, Ireland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Sweden, Estonia and Finland. In Belgium, at least 76 supermarkets and other retail outlets had reported problems with their refrigeration systems by Monday afternoon, according to a tally by local media.
