Emmy winner Stephen Colbert on his favorite 'Late Show' guests before 'Jimmy Kimmel Show' appearance

Four months after "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" was cancelled, it was recognized at the 2026 Emmys for outstanding variety series.

Titular host Stephen Colbert gathered onstage with several members of the beloved series' team to accept the award "on behalf of the over 200 people who threw themselves at this show for 11 years to try to do the best show they possibly could for you."

Colbert talked about his favorite guests on stage then followed up backstage with a press conference talking about them and his hope for the future of late night TV while facing questions about what's next for the comedian. Colbert is set to appear as a guest on his friend Jimmy Kimmel's show Tuesday night.
