शिंकानसेन यानी बुलेट ट्रेन पहले लगभग 320 किमी प्रति घंटा की रफ्तार से तेज आवाज करते हुए चलती थी. इसे शांत बनाने के लिए इंजीनियरों ने किंगफिशर पक्षी से प्रेरणा ली.
