A 60-day ceasefire and negotiation period between the US and Iran formally ends on Monday. The timeline was established under the MOU released by the two sides on June 17, 2026, under which they aimed to end their conflict and reach a final deal on nuclear issues and maritime access. Yet renewed US strikes on Iran in July and US President Donald Trump's suggestion that the arrangement had been terminated derailed talks ahead of the deadline. #CGTNOnsite
