K-Pop group NewJeans has their harsh contracts exposed by the New York Times

NewJeans label HYBE (who also manages BTS and KATSEYE) are coming under fire after a bombshell New York Times report that exposed the harsh contracts members signed when the girls were between the ages of 14 to 17. The report shares that members have no right to education, physical and mental health, no criticizing the label, no inappropriate relationships, and the label has ownership of their voices and likenesses even AFTER their contract ends.

NewJeans announced back in 2024 they were quitting the label leading to multiple lawsuits with the courts eventually siding with the company.
