Montana Rangers: The guardians on the front line

In the wild landscapes of Montana, Fish and Game wardens patrol rivers, lakes and remote backcountry to protect wildlife, enforce outdoor laws and keep people safe. From Fourth of July boating patrols and river rescues to fishing license checks, littering citations and elk decoy operations, this episode follows the daily challenges of officers working across Big Sky Country.

As summer crowds gather on the water and hunters head into the field, the wardens face unpredictable situations involving unsafe behavior, conservation violations and high-pressure investigations. The episode also follows a father-and-son moose hunt, revealing the deep connection between Montana’s outdoor traditions, responsible hunting and respect for nature.
