Turkish authorities have detained dozens of people after police broke up a pro-LGBTQ+ gathering outside Istanbul's main courthouse on Tuesday. It marks the latest escalation in what rights groups and opposition figures describe as a widening campaign against Turkey's queer community. Over the past week, authorities have raided LGBTQ+ association offices, blocked websites and detained suspects across several provinces.
