X-Men | Countdown to Avengers: Doomsday Official Podcast

Before the Avengers movies, there were the X-Men. In this detour on their rewatch, Iman Vellani and Frank Alvarez step outside the MCU to revisit the trilogy that started it all: X-Men, X2: X-Men United, and X-Men: The Last Stand. They dig into the films' comic roots, Wolverine's explosive introduction, and the early-2000s style that defined a generation of Super Hero movies: from the leather costumes to Jean and Scott's romance. Iman and Frank look back at the most iconic displays of mutant power, Charles and Erik's fractured friendship, and the deaths and rebirths that shake the team, including Jean Grey's turn as the Dark Phoenix. They close by weighing what these stories of fear and found family mean for the X-Men as mutantkind heads toward Avengers: Doomsday.
