과하게 절제된 턱선, 다시 만들 수 있을까요?
이전 수술에서 사각턱이 과도하게 절제되어 이른바 '개턱'처럼 하악각이 사라진 상태로 찾아오신 환자분의 사례입니다.
정밀 3D CT로 남아 있는 하악 구조를 먼저 확인했습니다.
옆모습에서 사라진 하악(사각턱) 때문에 얼굴선의 경계가 없어지고 겉모습에서도 패여보이는 모습이 관찰되어 3d 맞춤 사각턱 보형물(PEEK)을 사용해 사라진 턱선을 복원하는 방향으로 계획했습니다.
복원에서 가장 중요하게 생각한 건 단순히 예전으로 되돌리는 것이 아니라, 다시는 같은 고민을 하지 않으시도록 이상적인 턱라인을 만들어 드리는 것이었는데요.
수술 중 보형물을 대어 보며 라인을 직접 확인하고, 얼굴 전체 비율과 어우러지는 각도와 길이를 맞춰 디자인했습니다.

Over-resected jawline... can it be restored? 🤔
This patient came to us after a previous square jaw reduction was over-resected, leaving the jaw angle almost gone.
After checking the remaining mandibular structure with precise 3D CT 🔬, we found that the lost jaw angle had erased the boundary of the facial line, leaving the area looking visibly hollowed from the side. We planned to restore the jawline with a 3D custom-made PEEK jaw implant.
Our goal wasn't just to go back to the original shape, but to design an ideal jawline so she never has to worry about the same issue again. We checked the line directly with the implant during surgery and matched the angle and length to her overall facial proportions.
