As university students and young people trying to figure life out, we often feel the pressure to have it all together, from getting the perfect course, the right hustle, to even the ideal plan. We scroll through social media and see people our age “winning,” and it makes us question if we’re doing enough. But what if real success isn’t about following trends or chasing money, but about discovering you?
So the aim of this topic is to reminds us that our greatest asset isn’t in a bank account but in who we are. Our ideas, creativity, and individuality are powerful currencies that can open doors and create real financial opportunities when used right. “The Currency of You” challenges us as young individuals to stop comparing our pace with others and to start investing ourselves, our skills, passions, and personal growth. Because when you embrace your uniqueness, you don’t just build wealth, you build confidence, purpose, and lasting value. The message isn’t about chasing money, but not chasing it blindly. It is about building our financial success around our uniqueness, not around pressure or imitation. That’s the kind of wealth that’s both meaningful and sustainable. Oluchukwu Chiadika is a marketing and growth leader working at the intersection of technology, fintech, and community-led adoption. With 9+ years of experience across marketing operations, product marketing, content, and community building, she has led high-impact, nationwide campaigns for leading fintech companies in Nigeria—driving growth, engagement, and thousands of user sign-ups across institutions and digital platforms.
She currently serves as Marketing Lead at a leading Nigerian fintech, where she focuses on scaling products through data-driven campaigns, ambassador programs, and community-first growth strategies. Her work has contributed to large-scale user acquisition initiatives, including activations that consistently generated 2,000+ sign-ups per rollout.
Oluchukwu is also the Founder of Your Personal Finance Girl (YPFG), a tech-enabled personal finance education platform and community with over 5,000 members. Through YPFG, she simplifies money, investing, and wealth-building using practical systems designed for everyday people navigating digital financial products.
Her career sits at the overlap of how people adopt technology and how they make money decisions—a perspective shaped by years of building fintech communities, launching products, and teaching financial literacy at scale. She has spoken at over 150 events, including 30+ universities, and her work has been featured on platforms such as Arise TV, Smooth FM, PiggyVest, Zikoko, The guardian, Tribune, and Vanguard Newspaper.
Oluchukwu is a two-time published author and has been recognized for her impact across tech, business, and leadership. Her accolades include She Leads Africa’s Top 50 Under 30, Brummell Magazine’s “Ones to Watch 2025,” nominations for the Global Entrepreneurs Award and CEO Networks Award, and recognition within the tech ecosystem, including a nomination at the No-Code Tech Summit Awards.
As a serial entrepreneur and ecosystem builder, Oluchukwu continues to design products, communities, and education that make technology and finance easier to understand—and easier to use—across Africa and beyond. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
