어린이날을 축하해요. 🎉
이 작은 핀이 《코뿔소와 유니콘》을 만난 여러분에게 다정한 용기가 되어 주기를 바랍니다.

우리는 흔히 코뿔소를 현실로, 유니콘을 환상으로 떠올립니다. 그러나 오래된 이야기 속 환상은 때로 선과 악, 진짜와 가짜, 옳고 그름을 더 또렷하게 나눕니다. 오히려 오늘의 현실은 더 불안정하고 흔들리며 쉬운 결정이 어렵지요.
《코뿔소와 유니콘》 전시 그래픽 디자인은 그 감각에서 출발했습니다. 흔들리는 코뿔소(Rhinoceros)의 글자와 단단한 고딕체의 유니콘(Unicorn), 그리고 그 둘이 겹쳐지며 생기는 색과 모양의 간극은 전시가 다루는 이야기의 반복, 어긋남, 다시 읽기의 감각을 담고 있습니다. (전시 그래픽 디자인: 모어모어 @moremore_2015)

어린이날을 맞아 5월 5일 부산현대미술관 《코뿔소와 유니콘》을 찾아오는 어린이들에게 작은 핀을 선물합니다. 이 작은 조각이 전시장을 나선 뒤에도 전시에서 만난 이야기들을 다시 떠올리게 하는 즐거운 단서로 남기를 바랍니다.
5월 5일 화요일, 부산현대미술관 지하 1층 《코뿔소와 유니콘》 전시장 입구에서 만나요. 오전 10시부터 초등학생 이하 어린이에게 하나씩 선물로 드리며 준비한 수량이 모두 소진되면 배포가 마감됩니다.

Happy Children’s Day. 🎉
May this small pin become a gentle source of courage for everyone who has encountered The Rhinoceros and the Unicorn.

We often think of the rhinoceros as reality, and the unicorn as fantasy. Yet in old stories, fantasy sometimes draws clearer lines between good and evil, the real and the false, right and wrong. Today’s reality, by contrast, feels more unstable and unsettled, making easy decisions difficult.
The graphic design for The Rhinoceros and the Unicorn began from this very sensibility. The wavering letters of “Rhinoceros,” the solid Gothic typeface of “Unicorn,” and the gaps of color and form that emerge as the two names overlap all reflect the exhibition’s sense of repetition, misalignment, and rereading.

On May 5, Children’s Day, we will be giving small pins to children visiting The Rhinoceros and the Unicorn at Busan MoCA. We hope these small fragments will remain as joyful clues, reminding you of the stories encountered in the exhibition even after you leave the gallery.
See you on Tuesday, May 5, at the entrance to The Rhinoceros and the Unicorn on B1 of Busan MoCA. Pins will be given one per child, for elementary-school-age children and younger, from 10 a.m. Distribution will end once the prepared quantity has run out.
