DRUSKI: A GUN TO MY HEAD CHANGED MY LIFE

He's never spoken about this side of his life.

Most people know Druski as one of the funniest people on the internet. His videos have been watched over a billion times, and more than 40 million people follow him.

But it all started in Georgia, making funny skits on his phone.

Those videos eventually went viral and eventually caught Drake’s attention. Since then, Druski has gone from making people laugh online to building his own production company, hosting major awards and working alongside people like Kevin Hart.

But I wanted to know where the funny came from.

Because when you go back far enough, you find a story I don’t think most people would expect.

From a young age, Druski learnt to read the mood of a room incredibly quickly. When things became difficult at home, comedy became a way of changing the energy around him.

As we spoke, I realised he was doing the same thing with me.

He would notice tiny changes in my expression, stop mid-answer and ask what I was thinking.
