설악산 공룡능선을 걷다 보면 하늘을 향해 우뚝 솟은 촛대바위를 만납니다.

거대한 바위 사이로 난 좁은 길을 조심스럽게 지나면, 노인봉 일대와 천화대의 웅장한 암봉들이 눈앞에 펼쳐집니다.

천화대는 설악산 공룡능선에서 갈라져 나온 아름다운 바위 능선으로, 범봉·희야봉·왕관봉 등 수많은 암봉이 이어져 있습니다.

하늘을 향해 솟아오른 기암괴석들이 마치 하늘에 꽃이 피어난 듯한 모습이라 하여 ‘천화대’라는 이름이 붙었다고 전해집니다.

울긋불긋 물든 가을 산과 어우러진 기암괴석들이 설악산의 아름다움을 더해 줍니다.

💬 Candlestick Rock and Cheonhwadae Ridge, Seoraksan

As you hike along Dinosaur Ridge in Seoraksan, you encounter Candlestick Rock, towering high toward the sky.

Carefully passing through a narrow path between massive rocks, breathtaking views of Noinbong Peak and the majestic rocky peaks of Cheonhwadae unfold before your eyes.

Cheonhwadae is a spectacular rocky ridge branching off from Dinosaur Ridge, with numerous peaks including Beombong, Huiyabong, and Wanggwanbong.

The name “Cheonhwadae,” meaning “Flowers of the Sky,” is said to have come from the towering rock formations that resemble flowers blooming in the heavens.

The rugged rock formations, surrounded by mountains painted in vibrant autumn colors, make the scenery of Seoraksan even more beautiful.
