विश्व ऑटोमोबाइल संगठन के आंकड़ों के अनुसार, इस साल जनवरी से अगस्त के बीच वैश्विक कार बिक्री में चीन सबसे बड़ा बाजार बना रहा. दुनिया भर में बिकी यात्री कारों में लगभग एक-तिहाई हिस्सेदारी अकेले चीन की रही, जबकि भारत, वियतनाम, थाईलैंड और रूस जैसे उभरते बाजारों ने वैश्विक वृद्धि को गति दी.
China remained the world's largest automobile market during the first eight months of the year, accounting for nearly one-third of global passenger car sales. Growth in emerging markets such as India, Vietnam, Thailand and Russia helped drive overall expansion in the global auto industry.
