이런 곳이 캘리포니아에 있었다니…(애뜰과 떠난 Onion Valley 캠핑 이야기)

오랜만에 맞이하는 Labor Day 연휴를 맞아 저희는 설레는 마음으로 Inyo National Forest의 Onion Valley 캠핑장으로 캠핑을 떠났습니다.
마침내 도착한 어니언 밸리 캠핑장은 해발 약 9,000피트의 높은 곳에 자리한 이곳은 한여름이라고는 믿기 어려울 만큼 시원하고 상쾌한 공기가 가득했습니다.

시원한 산바람을 맞으며 잠시 휴식을 취한 후에 Robinson Lake를 향해 하이킹을 시작했습니다. 로빈슨 레이크는 해발 10,000피트가 넘는 높은 산 위에 자리한 아름다운 호수로 높은 고도와 험하고 가파른 산길 때문에 올라가는 길은 결코 쉽지 않았지만 마침내 눈앞에 펼쳐진 에메랄드빛 아름다운 호수는 모든것을 잊게해주는 자연이 우리들에게 준 감사한 힐링의 선물였습니다.
우리는 호수가에서 점심도 먹고 마음것 힐링의 시간을 보낸후 캠핑장으로 돌아와 저녁으로 따뜻한 두부 만두전골을 먹으며 즐거운 하루 일과를 마쳤네요 ~

자연은 언제나 말없이 찾는이들을 품어주고 지친 마음에 새로운 힘을 선물하는 것 같습니다. 오늘도 아름다운 자연이 우리에게 허락한 이 소중한 순간들을 공유하오니 함께 힐링의 시간이 되시기를 바라오며 감사 드립니다.

For the first time in a long while, we welcomed the Labor Day holiday weekend with excitement and set off on a camping trip to Onion Valley Campground in the Inyo National Forest.

When we finally arrived, Onion Valley Campground, located at an elevation of about 9,000 feet, was filled with cool and refreshing air that made it hard to believe it was the middle of summer. After taking a short rest while enjoying the cool mountain breeze, we began our hike toward Robinson Lake.
Robinson Lake is a beautiful lake located high in the mountains at an elevation of over 10,000 feet. The hike was not easy because of the high elevation and the steep, rugged mountain trail. But when we finally reached the lake and saw the beautiful emerald-colored water spread out before us, we forgot all our struggles. It felt like a precious healing gift from nature.
We had lunch by the lake and spent plenty of time relaxing and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. After returning to the campground, we ended our wonderful day with a warm and delicious tofu dumpling hot pot for dinner.

Nature always seems to embrace those who come to visit without saying a word, giving new strength to our tired hearts.
