How do you remove a seized bolt without an impact gun?! 🔨🔧
When working on car brakes or suspension, the bolts and bleeder valves often get rusted and completely seized in place. If you just pull on them with a wrench, you risk stripping the metal head completely round, ruining the part!
Instead, mechanics use the poor man's impact wrench! By placing a tight closed-end wrench on the bolt and giving it a sharp tap with a heavy hammer, the sudden mechanical shockwave breaks the rust free without stripping the soft metal! It is the oldest trick in the book for driveway mechanics who don't have access to expensive pneumatic power tools!
