Can taxes really fix inequality? #Economics #Prosperity #LSE

Nobel Prize winner Daron Acemoglu raised a key concern at his LSE event this month.

⚖️ He stated that relying on tax instruments alone in an increasingly unequal economy may not be enough to create shared prosperity, both from an economic feasibility standpoint and from a social one.

Beyond economics, there is a deeper issue at play: people need to feel that they are meaningful contributors to a shared whole. When communities lose that sense of mutual contribution and connection, alienation tends to grow.
