When millions watch birds | Motti Charter | TEDxNeve Ativ

Can watching a tiny bird bring the world closer together? Through live nest cameras, millions of strangers become a global community, and some even become citizen scientists helping protect wildlife. This talk reveals how caring about the same small life can connect people across borders, cultures, and differences. Dr. Motti Charter | Connecting to Nature as a Tool for Building a Global Community
Wildlife ecologist, ornithologist, and researcher of bird behavior (Shamir Research Institute & University of Haifa).
Dr. Charter is a leading researcher with dozens of scientific publications and extensive academic experience.
Beyond his research, he founded Birdcams Group Charter - a network of live cameras in bird nests connecting millions of people worldwide to nature in real time.
In his talk, he shows how direct connection to nature not only deepens environmental understanding, but also creates a global, active community that contributes to scientific research and builds human connections across cultures. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
