Most of us know we should exercise more, sleep better, and make healthier choices. So why is it still so hard? Combining personal experience with behavioral science, Dr. Astghik Atanyan explores the gap between knowing and doing, and suggests that what we need is a different kind of relationship with our habits, built on friendship rather than force. Dr. Astghik Atanyan is a medical doctor, public health professional, and a nutritionist. She serves as a Research Associate at the Avedisian Onanian Center for Health Services Research and Development (CHSR) within the Gerald and Patricia Turpanjian College of Health Sciences at the AUA, where she contributes to a range of public health research and development initiatives.
In addition, Dr. Atanyan is a Research Assistant Professor at AUA, where she teaches the PH101: Basics of Healthy Lifestyle course.
Alongside her academic responsibilities, she provides guidance to individuals seeking to improve their nutrition and foster sustainable healthy behaviors.
Dr. Atanyan is deeply committed to her profession and is dedicated to promoting healthier lifestyles within the community and beyond. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
