Valve’s Hardware Was Supposed to Change PC Gaming

Valve has officially realeased all their promised new hardware for everyone. Unfortunately what should have been an industry game changer turned out to be a bit underwhelming, not because the hardware itself is underwhelming, but because of accessibility due to market changes thanks to AI and rising costs across the board. While the new Steam Machine, Steam Frame, and Steam Controller launched with little hype, that doesn't change how much of an impact this hardware should have had across the board. With the Linux-based SteamOS as a solid replacement for Windows 11 and console-like PC gaming, Steam's hardware was meant to be the start of something great for PC gaming.
