Basketball-Fans aufgepasst! Dass uns im September mit der Frauen-WM in Berlin ein absolutes Highlight bevorsteht, ist bekannt. Gleichzeitig bieten wir aber auch noch eine Bühne für die WM-Stars von morgen: Beim adidas x ALBA next up tournament treten acht hochklassige WU18-Teams aus der ganzen Welt gegeneinander an und zeigen unserer Hauptstadt, was in den nächsten Jahren auf den Frauen-Basketball zukommt

Turniermodus
Gespielt wird nach FIBA-Regeln in zwei Gruppen à vier Teams. Die Gruppenspiele werden von Donnerstag bis Samstag ausgetragen. Am Finaltag duellieren sich dann jeweils die gleichplatzierten Teams beider Gruppen um Platz sieben, fünf, drei und den Turniersieg.

Basketball fans, take note! It’s no secret that we have an absolute highlight coming up in September with the Women’s World Cup in Berlin. But at the same time, we’re also providing a stage for the World Cup stars of tomorrow: At the adidas x ALBA next up tournament, eight top-tier U18 women’s teams from around the world will compete against each other and show our capital city what’s in store for women’s basketball in the coming years

Tournament Format
Games will be played according to FIBA rules in two groups of four teams each. The group stage games will take place from Thursday through Saturday. On the final day, the teams with the same record from each group will face off for seventh, fifth, and third place, as well as the tournament championship.
