Cities are at the centre of today's most pressing global challenges. Our MSc Urban Science helps you understand the relationships between people, infrastructure, data and the environment, so you can see not just what's happening in a city, but why, and how to change it.
What will I study?
▸ Core units in urban theory and urban analytics
▸ Applied work on sustainability, risk and consultancy-based projects tackling real urban challenges
▸ Optional units in data science, GIS, remote sensing, machine learning and climate risks
▸ An independent research project combining theory, data analysis and applied problem-solving
Who is it for?
Graduates in any social science, science, mathematics or professional degree, such as medicine, architecture, planning or engineering. Applicants from other subjects with experience in data science, GIS, coding, modelling or statistics are considered case by case.
Where can it take me?
Careers in urban and transport planning, infrastructure and sustainability consultancy, government, technology companies, NGOs and data analytics, or doctoral research in urban, environmental or geospatial science.
