News24 contributor Sophie Elsworth believes members of Antifa and the Black Bloc have used demonstrations in France to cause destruction, attack police and damage buildings.
“This has been going on for weeks now, these violent riots across Europe, and we saw it across Germany on the weekend,” Ms Elsworth told News24 host Chris Kenny.
“Looking at some of the reporting here in Europe and across the world, they're saying that they're largely peaceful demonstrations. Now, to a point that is accurate, but there is a lot of anarchists in here.
“The ones that I was in France just last weekend, there were members of Antifa, members of the Black Bloc. Do not be fooled. These are people there. setting out to cause as much damage as possible.
“We did see in France throwing Molotov cocktails, damaging buildings, injuring police again.”
