■ 작품 소개
'Seriously Playful(진지한 유희)'는 붐웨커(Boomwhackers, 음계 파이프)와 탭댄스를 활용해 손과 발로 리듬을 만들어내는 유쾌하고 독창적인 작품입니다. 세 명의 댄서가 정확하게 맞물리는 리듬과 재치 있는 움직임을 주고받으며, 탭댄스의 음악성과 퍼포먼스적 재미를 함께 보여줍니다.

'Senbonzakura(천 그루의 벚나무)'는 일본 전통 악기 샤미센의 현대적인 편곡에 맞춰 빠르고 섬세한 탭 테크닉을 선보이는 작품입니다. 마사시의 솔로를 중심으로 점차 다시 세 명의 댄서가 합류하며 에너지를 끌어올리고, 마지막에는 세 사람의 여섯 발이 쏟아내는 탭 리듬이 마치 천 그루의 벚꽃처럼 무대를 가득 채웁니다.

두 작품은 탭댄서 마사시의 솔로를 연결점으로 하나의 흐름을 이루며, 유쾌한 리듬에서 폭발적인 속도와 에너지로 이어지는 무대를 완성합니다.

■ About the Works
'Seriously Playful' is a playful and inventive work that uses Boomwhackers (tuned percussion pipes) alongside tap dance to create rhythmic compositions with both feet and hands. Precise footwork, playful movement, and quick exchanges between the three dancers highlight the musicality and theatrical possibilities of tap.

'Senbonzakura' is a high-speed tap performance set to a modern arrangement featuring the traditional Japanese shamisen. Centered around Masashi's solo, the piece gradually builds back into a trio before exploding into a burst of energy. With only three dancers—or six legs in total—their lightning-fast footwork evokes the image of a thousand cherry blossoms filling the stage.

Presented back-to-back, the two works move from playful rhythmic experimentation to delicate speed and explosive energy, connected by Masashi's solo section and the trio's dynamic return.

Asia Tap Vibe는 2026 서울탭댄스페스티벌의 개막공연으로, 요노컴퍼니(YONO Company)가 서울탭댄스협회와 협력해 제작한 국제 협업 프로젝트입니다.
아시아 각국의 탭댄서와 단체가 한자리에 모여 예술적 교류와 문화적 다양성을 나누며, 리듬이라는 공통의 언어를 통해 새로운 무대를 만들어갑니다.

이번 공연은 일본 Masashi [On Fire] 팀과의 협업으로 선보였습니다. 마사시(Masashi)가 이끄는 팀으로, 마사시는 탭댄스 윙(Wings) 테크닉으로 1분에 160회의 윙을 기록하며 기네스 세계기록을 보유한 탭댄서입니다. 혁신적인 아이디어와 뛰어난 테크닉을 바탕으로 독창적인 탭 퍼포먼스를 선보이며, 공연과 관객의 경계를 허무는 다양한 시도를 이어가고 있습니다.

■ About the Show
Asia Tap Vibe is the opening performance of the 2026 Seoul Tap Dance Festival. The show was produced by YONO Company in cooperation with the Seoul Tap Dance Association.
Bringing together tap dancers and companies from across Asia, the performance celebrates artistic collaboration, cultural exchange, and the universal language of rhythm.

This performance was presented in collaboration with the team Masashi [On Fire] (Japan), led by tap dancer Masashi, a Guinness World Record holder for performing 160 wings per minute. Known for innovative concepts and exceptional technical ability, the team explores new possibilities for tap performance through rhythm, movement, humor, and theatricality.
