A common Destiny | Chapi Mwango | TEDxArada Play

What if the story of your life didn’t begin with you?

A Common Destiny explores the connections between our personal stories and the stories that came before us. Through CHAPI MWANGO, the talk invites us to look at how shared experiences, inherited narratives, and human connection shape who we are and where we are going.

Presented as part of TEDxArada’s theme, “The Seriousness of Play,” the talk encourages us to see play not simply as entertainment, but as a way of exploring identity, connection, and the possibilities of a shared future. Chapi Mwango is a Policy Professional and storyteller whose work explores the intersection of identity, leadership, and human connection across África. Born between Zambian and Ethiopian heritage and raised in Addis Ababa, his journey across cultures and continents has shaped a deeply reflective perspective on belonging, governance, and shared destiny. Through his work within development and public speaking, Chapi is passionate about building bridges between people, ideas, and generations. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
