Lamont Roach VS. Isaac Cruz | HIGHLIGHTS #boxing #sports #combat

🥊 FIGHT DESCRIPTION:

The year 2025 has been a frustrating rollercoaster for Lamont Roach Jr., who has twice walked away from brutal 12-round wars believing he had earned the victory, only to be denied on the scorecards.

Roach (25-1-3, 10 KOs) found himself in another controversial outcome Saturday night after battling Isaac Cruz to a majority draw in their WBC interim super lightweight title showdown at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio. One judge favored Cruz 115-111, while the other two scored the fight dead even at 113-113.

The result extended Roach’s growing run of heartbreak, marking his second straight majority draw in 2025. Despite delivering another gritty, high-level performance against one of boxing’s most aggressive pressure fighters, Roach was once again left without the win many felt he deserved.

His first controversial result came in March when he pushed Gervonta Davis to a 12-round deadlock in New York. That fight sparked heated debate across the boxing world after a disputed no-call involving Davis taking a knee, a moment many believed could have dramatically changed the final outcome. Now, after another razor-close battle ends without a clear winner, Roach remains stuck in boxing limbo despite repeatedly proving he belongs among the sport’s elite.
