News South Wales One Nation Leader Mike Newman dismisses government displays such as the Aboriginal flag as “purely optics”, arguing governments should focus on delivering services rather than chasing trends.
“I think businesses have their own choice, but for government, I want to get rid of all of that sort of stuff,” Mr Newman told News24 host Rowan Dean.
“All that other stuff is purely optics, and a lot of it is internal optics for, you know, departmental secretaries to look good in front of themselves and look trendy at Surrey Hills cocktail parties.
“We want to get rid of all of that and focus on making sure that we are just focused on delivery.”
