Donald Trump says it's "largely true" that the US-Israel war in Iran was responsible for sweeping Republican losses in the US midterm elections.
His comments come after US Vice-President, JD Vance, said in an social media post "the reason we lost is the war."
The President has said he has no plans for immediate strikes on Iran after the vote, but the region remains on alert for any further military action.
The BBC's International Editor, Jeremy Bowen - alongside colleagues from the United States and BBC Persian - provides analysis of what the midterm results mean for the war and where things might go from here.
